Communication Platforms
The club currently uses the following platforms:

• Website – official information, training details and club documents
• WhatsApp Community & Channels – weekly training information and urgent announcements
• Facebook Members Group – general discussion, race information and social updates
• Email – official club communication and membership matters

The club may introduce additional communication platforms if required.

Appropriate Use
Members should use club communication platforms respectfully and responsibly.
Members should not:

• Post offensive, abusive, or discriminatory content
• Share personal contact details of other members without permission
• Post inappropriate images or content
• Use club channels for commercial promotion without permission from the committee

Club administrators may remove content or restrict access if these guidelines are not followed.

Privacy and Personal Data
Widnes Running Club processes member contact information only for legitimate club purposes.

• Member contact details are collected during the membership process.
• Phone numbers may be used to manage access to the club’s WhatsApp Community.
• Personal information will not be shared with other members without permission.
• Members can request removal from any communication platform at any time.

The club aims to minimise the sharing of personal information on public platforms.

Social Media and Photography
Photos may occasionally be shared on the club website or social media to promote club activities.
Members who do not wish to appear in photos should inform the committee and reasonable steps will be taken to respect this preference.

Safeguarding
All club digital platforms must be used in a way that supports a safe and inclusive environment for all members.
Concerns relating to behaviour or safeguarding should be reported to the club’s Welfare Officer.
