We’re absolutely delighted that our overall club We’re absolutely delighted that our overall club champion for 2024/25 is the amazing Christine Bonnar.

Christine competes in the female 70+ category and has put in consistently brilliant performances over the last year, often being her category winner at the races she runs.

Christine is proud to be the first female winner of our overall championship and after she managed to wrest the trophy from last year’s winner Fran, she managed to get it safely home for a photo in her club kit.

Congratulations Christine, you’re a true inspiration and great friend to us all.

Not too many pictures in this week’s roundup alt Not too many pictures in this week’s roundup although we did have runners at 18 different venues.
We’ll start with Tania, Ali, Kerry, Richard, Joe, Georgia and Tilly the dog who crossed the border into Welsh Wales and ran down the hill then back up the hill at beautiful Greenfield Valley. Congratulations to Joe on a 4th place finish.
Carl took himself off for an away day in the sun up at Rothay Park where he found fellow club members David and Colette were also running.
Claire ran on an unusually bone dry course at Ellesmere Port and says she’ll definitely return sometime to get the full mud experience.
We had a big turn out over the bridge at Phoenix in Runcorn with Eve, Paula, Caroline, Ste, Paul, Zoe, John, Fiona, Helen, Chris, Val, Neil and their 4 legged friends Max and Shelby trying out the new course there.
Our honeymooners Simon and Katie ran in a heatwave at Clermont Waterfront in Florida, it was an early start so luckily they didn’t suffer the worst of the heat.
Jon, Dani and friends enjoyed a lovely coastal run in the sun at Nova Prestatyn in Wales.
Rachel and Mike were also in Wales and ran Park in the Past as a warm up before running up Moel Famau not once, but twice.
We also had runners at Alexandra, Amsterdamse Bos, Beeston, Brickfields, Croxteth Hall, Heartlands, Northwich, Sale Water, Stretford, Sutton Manor and, of course, Widnes.
Well done to everyone who volunteered or ran today.

Apologies for the lateness of this post - no excuses, I’m just lazy x

Sunday 11th May - our very own Man in Black Ryan Black completed 30 gruelling miles and 5000 ft of elevation at The Apocalypse Ultra. Great work x

Two club mates had a great day out in Leeds. Alex (Joe Cool) Smith excelled at the Half Marathon. Whilst Claire (Haway The Lass) Skea took on and conquered the marathon.

Hot footing it to sunny Wales and taking on the Snowdonia Half Marathon was our very own Jule in the crown Julie Reed. She’s mad she’s bad and her husbands a handsome lad ! Well done Julie x

Oh yeh and there was the 2nd running of the club race “the Chris Lam Memorial 5 Miler”. No club mates ran the race but many many volunteered and showed the true ethos of the club by being the most enthusiastic and supportive marshals the world has ever seen. Well done to all the volunteers and the race committee team who have made this race the best in the North West x

It was a perfect morning for our 2nd Chris Lam Mem It was a perfect morning for our 2nd Chris Lam Memorial 5 Mile Race!

Runners enjoyed a beautiful run in the sun and we’ve already had some great feedback. Here’s what some of the participants had to say.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped us to support @andysmanclubuk
We’re starting this week’s parkrun roundup at We’re starting this week’s parkrun roundup at home in Widnes where we had a great turnout of runners and volunteers and Paul broke the 23 minute barrier recording a new PB of 22:57. Congratulations Paul!
Next it’s over to Wales where a group of our members completed Park in the Past which was a brand new parkrun last week, we’re looking forward to hearing what this one was like.
Tania ran a super hilly, lung-busting course at Queen Elizabeth to get her Q for the alphabet challenge.
Tracy ran at Chester and then helped with barcode scanning before heading off to work.
Christine braved the hills of Sutton Manor and was 4th female to finish and 1st in her age category. Well done Christine!
Grace completed Fletcher Moss which she said was very dusty but she got her F for the alphabet challenge.
Back to Wales for Greenfield Valley, this week’s venue for keen tourists Colin, Liz and Hayley. We hear a rumour that their run was followed by massive cakes!
Matt finally made it to Oldham, a venue he’s been avoiding. He’s now discovered it’s a beautiful park but he was less appreciative of the 3 hills.
Roy’s currently the walking wounded so instead of running he volunteered as tailwalker at Y Promenad in beautiful Barmouth.
Jan & Paul are still in Japan and completed their 3rd parkrun there at Futakotamagawa. On a very wet day they had to contend with 2 missed trains and a mad taxi dash but they made it!
Last of our photos this week sees Paula, Gill, Penny, Neil, Mark, Rob Eve and their 4-legged friend Olive after enjoying a lovely sunny run at Knowsley.
We also had runners today at Brickfields, Ellesmere Port, Flagg High, Peel, South Manchester, Warrington and Wollaton Hall.
Well done to all our runners and volunteers.
